He led her along the edge of the wheat field the shorn crop struck her as broken, somehow, devastated. Martinelli came out of the barn and approached her. Behind the house was an orchard, a small vineyard, and a fenced vegetable garden. The farm itself consisted of the house, a big wooden barn, a horse corral, a cow paddock, a hog pen, a chicken coop, and a windmill. Hundreds of acres of harvested wheat fanned out in all directions, a sea of rough burnished gold, with the homestead part taking up a few acres in the middle of it all.Ī driveway cut through the fields, a brown ribbon of dirt bordered by cottonwoods and fencing. ![]() ![]() Elsa stepped out onto the porch and saw the Martinelli farm in full sunlight. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() Just because you fuck about in a leather jacket does not make it okay to be a misogynistic douche and think you can fucking allow a girl you supposedly like to be hit unconscious and dragged back to the MC club house she left, then sit back and allow your president to strip her naked and lock her in a cold cell. ![]() She is treated so badly by some of the guys, or they allow it to happen. She's just like "okay then" and then the insta love from that moment on. If it sounds ridiculous it's because it fucking is. After getting bitch slapped by the lackey (thankfully he's not in the future Harem) the other guys hoists her up over his shoulder, slaps her ass to make her shut up and proceeds to take her to his club house and president where she is told she has to stay for 30 days as punishment for stealing their dog. She then gets chased down by the owner and one of his lackeys, who just happens to be high up in a Motorcycle club. I sort of knew I'd made a mistake picking this up when Luna (the main character) sees a dog being mistreated in the opening pages and, rather than call animal services or whatever, she decides to get some wire cutters and steal the dog. Now, I'm not sure if all MC books are like this, but the misogyny was sickening to me. Unfortunately, I pretty much hated everything about this book. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There's much to learn from Branson's business strategy and his willingness to break new ground in just about everything he does. What unites them is Branson's vision, drive, personality and the Virgin brand values shared by all members of the group. Branson describes the Virgin companies as a keiretsu – a family of companies that form a tight-knit alliance to work toward each other's mutual success. What's different about Virgin is that it isn't one company, or one idea, but a global brand with a distinct personality which spans retail, music, airlines, telecoms, media, drinks, energy and even space tourism. According to Forbes' 2009 list, he is the 261st richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of U.S. He started Virgin Records in 1970, and now 40 years later, the Virgin group of companies has eight businesses generating more than $1 billion per year. Branson, the adventuring entrepreneur and chairman of the Virgin group of companies, is a rare individual. "Screw it, let's do it" is how Sir Richard Branson described his approach to business at the recent ExactTarget Connections conference. ![]() ![]() ![]() The edition of 100 copies was printed by hand on 100% cotton archival-quality Rives BFK paper, using a French-made Le Deuil etching press.
